Enfants du Mékong
Founded in 1958 by René Péchard, a French doctor living in Laos, “Enfants du Mekong” is a French NGO and non-profit making Charity that was granted the French Republic’s Human Rights Award in 1990.
Our mission:
Educate, train and support children and young people, to enable them to improve their material living conditions and build themselves up, intellectually, emotionally and morally.

84,2% of what is collected is used for our action in favor of children amongst the poorest in South East-Asia. What remains is used to find new sponsor and raise funds (8,9%) and to run the association (6,9%).
Our funds come almost only from private funds.
Since 2011, “Enfants du Mekong” is awarded the label IDEAS related for its good governance and financial management standards, and efficiency of actions.
